I am a senior lecturer of mathematics in the School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences at the The University of Newcastle in Newcastle, Australia. I am deputy director of the CARMA Centre and an editor of the The Journal of Applied Mathematics.
My research interests are in wave theory, mainly focused on water wave theory, ranging from the theoretical to the practical. Most of my work has been concerned with water waves, but I have also worked on platonic cystals and the Boltzmann equation. The main focus of my research in on wave scattering in the Marginal Ice Zone.
In 2012 I taught MATH 1120, MATH 2470 and MATH 3700.
